Who we are
We are a committee of young people in AA throughout the Detroit Area. We have adopted AA's primary purpose of staying sober, helping other alcoholics to achieve sobriety, and fitting ourselves to be of maximum service to God and our fellows. We aim to generate awareness among young people in A.A. of a vibrant and growing fellowship of young, sober alcoholics. The committee facilitates and supports group projects in and around the community such as hosting events to foster unity and excitement, and bidding to bring ICYPAA to the Detroit Area. We adhere to AA's Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of World Service in all of our activities. Shoot us a message in the "Contact Us" section to get involved!

ICYPAA is a weekend long celebration of recovery for thousands of young people in AA, held annually at some different location around the globe. This year it's in San Francisco, California, September 1-4. So we partake in some service projects throughout the year, throw some pretty kickass events, we document our journey throughout the year and put together information on how to host an ICYPAA, we roll into the 63rd ICYPAA and present our bid package, and then we find out if we're awarded the opportunity to bring ICYPAA back to Detroit! And we need all the help we can get! We don't care if you are bidding for another conference. It doesn't matter if you are coming to San Francisco or not. We need all hands on deck and there's unlimited ways to be of service to the Detroit Area.
